32 Weeks and Counting!

8 weeks to go! O.M.G.! Shock is setting in along with the nesting urge. I'm so ready for our house to be done so that I can setup shop in the baby's room and get everything in place and cleaned up. Riglee is also getting ready to enter the world. Here's what she's doing at 32 weeks:
  • She weighs about 3.75lbs and is about 16-17 inches long (I swear I can feel every inch of her she's stretching out so much)
  • I should gain about 1lb/week, half of that going to Riglee
  • Riglee is continuing to put on her baby fat and smoothing out those wrinkles
While Riglee is getting bigger, that means so am I, and there are a whole slew of pregnancy symptoms returning. I feel like I've digressed back into 1st trimester. I am really tired, cravings are baa-aaack, and I've been very irritable. I am hoping this will come and go and not be a permanent fixture until the end. And with her ever expanding size, I'm not experiencing shortness of breath (no lung space), a smaller stomach, and heartburn.

It's not all bad stuff though. Riglee definitely has increased her movement time. She is pretty active all day until about mid-afternoon. Then she'll sleep or quiet down until after dinner or about 8pm. She'll move a bit from 8-10pm and usually falls asleep when I do. They say that babies are starting to make their own schedules right now and if she sticks to this schedule when she is born I'd be one happy camper. And while I love feeling her move, Kurt loves it even more! I think I'm going to nickname him the baby whisperer because every time he puts his hand on my belly at night she slows down or stops moving. This trick was perfect last night when she was kicking me so hard I couldn't fall asleep. Kurt rolled over, put his hand on my belly, and told her it was bedtime. And wouldn't you know it, the girl listened! She slowly stopped moving and all 3 of us fell asleep. I think he definitely has the night shift duty!
