30 Weeks & Counting...and Everything Else!

Whoa. It has been an insane week for the Reuland family (both ours and the extended family). Sadly, Kurt's grandmother passed away last week and we had to attend her funeral on Friday. She had been battling cancer for 10 years and died peacefully. She had strong faith in God and we know that she is in a better place in Heaven.

On a lighter note, Thursday was my 30 week mark! It is crazy to say we have 10 weeks left. Here is what Riglee is doing at 30 weeks:
  • She's about 3lbs and about 15.7 inches (size of a head of cabbage)
  • Her eyesight is still developing, she'll mostly be sensitive to changes in light
  • She's still packing on the baby fat
You can always check out what she looks like by going to BabyCenter.com to get the weekly update! And here's what I look like!

As of Saturday, our tile is layed and Kurt and our friend Dan will be grouting tonight and Thursday. That means our tile will be 100% complete this weekend! The excitement is overwhelming! It really looks amazing. I'll post some pics when it's finished. That means we only have the carpet installation left and we are done with our major inside projects!

Saturday afternoon my cousin Jessica and my little sister Maddie came down for my baby shower on Sunday. Us girls were not allowed in the house b/c the boys were tiling so we shopped til we dropped, literally! I think we all bought new summer dresses. My little sister is so stinkin' cute, I had the best time. I think she's really excited to be an aunt for her first niece. After all of our shopping we went to Sara's house for some chinese dinner. At that point we realized how dog tired we were and went home and couldn't get off the couch after that. Jessica has a 2 year old son so it was nice to hear stories about her pregnancy and delivery and it actually made me feel more confident in what is yet to come with my own experience. And I can't get enough time with my little sister Maddie. If I could keep her I would, she is just the best every! All in all, it was just a special day to spend with family and couldn't have been more enjoyable.

Sunday was my baby shower with my friends. The Reuland girls (Sara, Andrea, Jenny, and Mary) made it incredibly special. We had a mexican feast with taco salad, chicken enchiladas, taquitos, and my faves taco dip and guacamole!! And for dessert Jenny made some ducky cupcakes, which were very tasty but we couldn't help poke a little fun at them. It's great to have a Martha Stewart for a sister-in-law! We also got some really nice gifts for Riglee. Now that we've started to get stuff I just want the house done so I can decorate!
