I guess I didn't realize how much is involved in a 1st birthday party! I mean, I knew I had to decorate and I knew that people would come over and I knew that I'd have to have food and dessert and I knew it would be work....but I had no idea I'd be ready for a nap halfway through!
We started the day with a few family pictures, unfortunately the family we didn't get was me, Riglee and Kurt! She seemed to know that something was going on but had no idea what she was in for!

Aunt Jenny made this beautiful tutu (it was sparkly and all her favorite colors) and she bought these beautiful purple wings! Riglee wouldn't stand still long enough to get a good front picture of her cute outfit so you get the back view! Love love love this outfit, thanks Aunt Jenny!
Grandma and Aunt Maddie got Riglee her first baby doll and stroller!
Nana and Papa got Riglee a sweet new Radio Flyer wagon!
Aunt Andrea made Riglee her smash cake and, while I would have eaten the whole thing, Riglee was a bit overwhelmed and only had a couple bites before she gave up.
Since the cake wasn't a big hit, we plopped Riglee in the pool to cool and clean off and she had so much fun. She loved playing with her cousins!
Almost everyone had left but some very close family friends who made the haul up from Illinois to celebrate with us!
After a very long day we put Riglee in the bath and let her enjoy some naked time to just relax. It was a super long day and Riglee took a nap before her party was over, but all in all it was one heck of a great party. We are extremely appreciative for everyone who came to celebrate this very special birthday. Thanks to Nana and Papa for providing some delicious food and to Grandma and Aunt Maddie for helping clean and get ready for the party! We love you all!!
