It finally happened, Riglee started taking her first steps! She is no expert but she is starting to walk! It all started a few weeks ago when we decided that Riglee has such great balance and she stands up without holding onto things so well. Kurt and I decided we'd see what would happen if we put her in between us and tried to coax her into walking. When we set her down she'd get this serious focused face and you could see one leg shaking as she tried to make it move. After the first step came she'd quickly take a few more steps before flinging herself into our arms! It was so amazing to watch her work so hard and that total look of accomplishment when she'd go a few steps.
Since then this girl has been on a mission! Riglee stands up whenever possible and will try to take a few steps to her toy of choice. She will even stand up in the middle of the room without holding onto anything and try to walk. This past weekend was the best because she walked a solid 15-20 steps, slowly and cautiously, without falling once! She didn't even fling herself into my arms. I am so proud of every little step and every milestone my baby girl reaches. Riglee is truly amazing and everyday she gets to be more fun!
