February Recap....Finally!!

Ohmygosh...it has been almost a month since I last wrote a blog post since early February!! I hope that gives you an idea of how busy the last month has been for me! Ok, I'll try to do a somewhat short recap to give you the highlights of the past month.

She was so tired she pulled a stuffed animal close, layed her head on it and totally fell asleep!!
February was a busy month for our 'lil girl! Riglee not only became a non-stop babbler but she also started crawling!!! She has been tempting it for awhile now, getting on all fours and rocking back and forth. She has pushed herself backwards and put a hand forward and then flattened out to her belly where she was safe. And on February 25th she officially started crawling! She saw something she wanted and instead of fussing for it, she got down on her hands and knees, hesitated for a moment, then headed right towards it! And tonight she didn't even hesitate when she wanted me to hold her, she just crawled right on over! This is the beginning of a very scary and exciting time. Scary because now she is mobile, exciting because now she is mobile!!  Here's a little clip of her crawling:

Kurt and I also got a date night this month! It was amazing and so wonderful! Kurt's mom, Mary, was going to be in Milwaukee and offered to stop by on her way down and stay the night so that Kurt and I could go out together. Talk about amazing!! It was exactly what we needed, some time out together with our friends to feel like normal adults again. I was finally able to wear this awesome outfit Kurt got me in December. And I did my hair, and put on nice makeup, and wasn't wearing anything with drool or spitup on it. On top of it all, Thor was so happy that his Nana was here to pay him some attention. Riglee also loved waking up with Nana. I heard Riglee wake up the next morning and when I went to get her, Nana was already changing her diapers and talking to her! Lucky for me, it was a big poop that I didn't have to clean. Then Nana fed Riglee her bottle and Riglee spent the rest of the morning smiling and talking to Nana! It was a nice bonding time for Riglee and it was a wonderful break for me and Kurt. So....thanks Nana!!

We also went to my cousin Jessica's wedding on February 12th. It was an intimate and beautiful wedding. Jessica looked absolutely amazing....and incredibly happy! The reception was a lot of fun (except for the fact that Riglee was a total fuss-pot and Kurt had to leave early) and it was great to see some of my uncles I don't see very often.

We also had my work party we were supposed to go to but Sara got sick, like really sick, and we didn't have anyone to babysit so Kurt stayed home and babysat Riglee and I went to my work party. We had hoped to go out the last weekend in February but then Kurt got really really sick and there was no way we (he) was going anywhere.

And that was our month! Pretty full and lots of exciting things happened in this short month! Riglee is growing up at an amazing rate so lets see what March has in store for us!
