So Blessed...

So after I put Riglee down for bed and cleaned up after our dinner I was walking into my bedroom when I looked out the window and took in the view. We are lucky that our house is on top of a hill that overlooks the eastside of Madison. The view was just beautiful tonight. It's a clear night and I could see all the lights of Madison. It made me realize how blessed I am.

I have been blessed with a wonderful house that Kurt and I have made into a home. I am blessed that I have a good job with a great company. I am blessed with a wonderful husband who takes the time every day to let me know he loves me. I am even more blessed that he is an amazing father. I am blessed with a healthy daughter who is so smart and growing and changing right before my eyes. I am blessed with a drooly dog who loves me unconditionally, even thought I don't have as much time to play with him. I am blessed with family (and in-laws) who love and support us.

Sometimes it is easy to just go through the motions of the day. Wake up, go to work, make dinner, play with the baby, put the baby to bed, clean, get ready for the next day, go to sleep then do it all over again. And when people ask it's so easy to complain about the little things that aren't going your way that day. Sometimes it's nice to take a moment and be thankful for all the wonderful things that are going on in life. So, as I sat for a few moments and stared out over Madison, I counted my blessings.......
