Christmas 2010

As mentioned previously, Kurt and I decided to spend Riglee's first Christmas at home. It was quiet and filled with family time, just as we had hoped. Christmas Eve we made a nice dinner of steak, baked potatoes and corn and it was wonderful. Then on Christmas morning, when Riglee woke up, we went into her room with the video camera and taped her waking up and coming out into the living room and opening her gifts (or me opening her gifts for her). She actually played with the wrapping paper on the gifts trying to figure out what it was and what to do with it.

Merry Christmas!!

We made a whole bunch of appetizers on Christmas day and pretty much just watched football and Christmas movies and ate until we couldn't fathom eating anymore. If you'd like to see all the yummy eats we had you can check out my "food" blog Cooking with Cristina. While we definitely missed seeing our families on Christmas, it was very special weekend spending time with just the three of us, a first that will never be forgotten!!
