Our 'Lil Chunker!

Even though Riglee is only 6 weeks old, we had our 2 month appointment today because our pediatrician will be on vacation (what? who said he could take time off work?!). Well, in the past 2 weeks Riglee has gained a full pound! She is 10lbs 11oz and 22.5 inches long and is getting to be quite the chunker. Kurt keeps commenting on her cute chubby cheeks, I think they are perfect for kissing. I believe her doctor said she "is perfect", to which I said "I could have told you that!" She unfortunately had to get her shots too and she is not a very happy camper this afternoon because of that.

The past couple weeks have been great. Riglee is smiling a lot more and is much more interactive. But this also means she's awake more during the day and now I have to keep finding new ways to entertain her and keep her happy. The other day she was sound asleep on my chest and she actually giggled in her sleep! I think my heart skipped a beat! It was honestly one of the cutest sounds I've ever heard. And boy is this girl a pooper! She has blown through more diapers than I can count. I think I have to wash her changing pad cover every other day, if not daily. We just bumped her up to size 1 diapers this week in hopes that she can keep the poo in her pants and not on her clothes.

And just two nights ago Kurt put Riglee to bed in her crib and she slept there all night and has been sleeping in her crib since! All these little milestones are just amazing and I can't believe that just 6 short weeks ago she was just born! This morning I hear Riglee wake up around 7:00am and went into her room to get her up and feed her. When I peeked over her crib she turned her head to look at me and when she saw me she smiled. I just about died right then and there!! Sadly I only have 4 more weeks of this bliss before I have to go back to work. Until then I plan to enjoy every single early morning smile and poopy diaper!
