We've had so many 'firsts' these past 9 weeks and I know there are many more to come. It is truly amazing to think that Kurt and I have created this little girl whose possibilities in life are endless. Riglee is such a blessing and we are so grateful that we have a healthy and blossoming child.
Another first we had was our first vacation away from Kurt, which is not something we will be doing again anytime soon. Riglee and I went to visit Grandma Nancy and Nana and Papa up north for a week! It was actually a really great vacation but we definitely missed Kurt and were so excited to see him when we came home. Not only were we able to visit with the grandparents, but my mom's brothers and sisters were up north for the week too! I don't know when everyone was together last but it was one fun week! It was such a pleasure to introduce Riglee to everyone (yes, I love showing off my daughter) and spend time just hanging out. Unfortunately the weather was not as nice as we all wanted but it wasn't too bad. I can't say enough about how great it was to see everyone!
In other news.....I turn 28 on Monday. I am actually sad to say good-bye to 27 because it is my golden birthday year. I knew that my 27th birthday would start the best year ever and it absolutely did not disappoint! I'm interested to see what 28 brings. But this weekend my work is hosting their 10th anniversary party and Kurt and I will be going to that. Sara and my friend Whittney will be babysitting Riglee so Kurt and I can have a night out! Then on my actual birthday, on Monday, there is an amazing Monday night football game: Bears vs. Packers at Soldier Field! GO BEARS!
Four generations! Grandma Normie, Grandma Nancy, Me, Riglee
