27 Weeks and Counting!
This means we have 13 weeks to go until Riglee is born! We are on the verge of moving into 3rd trimester and the home stretch of pregnancy. This whole "having a baby-going to be parents" thing is getting real. Really real. In 13 short weeks our lives are going to change, drastically, for the rest of our lives. Although, I can honestly say, this will be a welcome change and one we are anxiously awaiting!
While we are waiting, here is what Riglee is up to this week:
- Her lungs are really starting to develop and she is able to inhale and exhale (even if it's only amniotic fluid)
- She can suck her thumb
- Her brain is becoming more and more active as tissue develops
- She sleeps and is awake at regular intervals and can even open her eyes
- She should weigh almost 2 lbs and measure just shy of 15 inches
It really is no wonder she has started moving a lot more, she's getting to be so long and there is no where to go! I think one of the biggest developments is her waking and sleeping schedule. Riglee is active from breakfast until about 2:00pm. She must sleep then b/c she does not move very much until I start to relax after dinner, sometime around 8:00pm. I will feel her moving as I go to sleep but not enough to keep me up (thank goodness). Hopefully this will be the same schedule she is on after she's born. Who knows, maybe I'll be a lucky one who actually gets some sleep!
