This past week we reached the 19 week mark. This means that we are almost halfway there and Kurt and I couldn't be more excited. The doctor's appointment on Wednesday was great. Kurt got to meet our doctor and after some joking about breast massages they seemed to get along great! The heartbeat was strong again, the doc said it was between 150-155 bpm. And Baby Reu must have been doing flips in there b/c it would go in and out. As I'm sure I've said before, the heartbeat is the.best.sound.ever!
Friday night was pretty low key for us. Kurt took me to a fish fry at one of our favorite places, Toby's. Then we came home and watched a movie. As I layed down in bed I thought some indigestion had hit. Kurt was still brushing his teeth and gave me a funny look and asked what was wrong. I was about to say that I had some major indigestion but suddenly realized, this is NOT indigestion! This is Baby Reu moving around....all over the place! I got so excited I sat up and even felt the baby move from my side to the bottom of my belly. It was so unbelievable and so weird at the same time. The baby was moving for about 5-10 minutes straight and was pretty amazing. I can definitely see how a very active baby can interrupt and prevent some much needed sleep! All in all, it's a great reminder that our little one is growing and getting stronger every day!
