You know how refreshed you feel when you wake up from a great night of sleep!? Where you slept through the whole night and woke up feeling ready to take the day? Yeah, I don't. I can tell you it was over 18 weeks ago and it was pre-pregnancy. But I can't tell you the exact time. Sure I've had a couple good nights sleep earlier on in pregnancy but the typical pregnancy symptoms just keep waking me up.
Pregnancy symptom #1: bathroom breaks! If you've had a child or are currently pregnant you totally know what I'm talking about. If you are a man or a woman who hasn't had children, watch this link from the Chicago Museum os Science and Industry. It's a pretty cool link that shows how a woman's body (her insides) change as she goes through pregnancy. Make sure to keep your eyes on how the bladder changes throughout pregnancy. Thanks Lisa for sharing this with me. It has prevented many eye rolls from the hubby when I tell him I have to pee....again!
Pregnancy symptom #2: sore boobies! For most people this pregnancy symptom usually goes away early in the 2nd trimest. But lucky me, it hasn't. And according to my mom, it won't. My mom said that her doctor kept telling her that her sore boobs should go away at any time throughout the pregnancy and they never did. I figure I've got another 22 weeks of waking up with these sore appendages.
Pregnancy symptom #3: wierd dreams! They just don't stop. I've dreamt about everything and every dream is so vivid it seems real. Sometimes the dreams will wake me up and sometimes I'll wake up and can't go back to sleep because of the dreams. Either way, they are getting in the way of a good nights slumber.
I guess this is just my body's way of getting me used to functioning on very little sleep when our baby comes. So my words of advice. Enjoy your un-interupted, blissful nights sleep while you can. As others before me have said, once you have kids you can kiss sleep goodbye!
That's a really cool thing you linked to! I will definitely be saving that to show hubby tonight :)
