Did You Remember Your Dreams Last Night?

Well I sure do! I used to be a dreamer and regularly remember parts, if not a whole dream a night. Now that I'm pregnant I very vividly remember my dreams...and I'm not just talking one dream a night. Sometimes I'll have numerous dreams and remember them all and other times I'll have one dream that no matter how many times I get up to go to the bathroom picks up right where it left off! I've had a couple dreams that I even remember to this day.

One dream I had was of my sister-in-law, Sara, and I walking through the jungle. There were snakes everywhere! If you know me you know I am petrified of snakes! For some reason these snakes were trying to jump on us and crawl up our pants. I have no idea what it all means but I woke up swiping off my arms and legs. I think that one even freaked my husband out a little, he had no idea what I was doing in my sleep! Ok, so this was probably the worst dream I've had since pregnant.

If the snakes dream was my worst, this one is easily my BEST. Just a couple nights ago I dreamt about my gIrandpa Bill who had passed away when I was in high school, shortly after I met Kurt. I dreamt that I went to my grandma's house and she let me in and let me to the dining room table and she sat down. I was going to go into another room when I looked to my right and saw my grandpa sitting at the table with my grandma, cousin, and a current friend. I was in disbelief. I asked my grandma and cousin if they saw him too and they said "of course, he visits us from time to time too." Of course I get so excited I give my grandpa a big hug and he laughs his normal laugh. I take a seat and start telling him about everything that is going on in my and my family's life. After letting me talk he looks at me and says "I know Cristina, I'm watching over you." Of course at this point in the dream I start crying and grandpa tells me he has to go. He looks at my grandma and my cousin and they are all smiling. He says again that he's always watching and just disappears.

At this point I wake myself up and realize that I am crying in real life too. It is unbelievable how much it felt like my grandpa was there with me. This is the second time he has ever visited me in my dream, the first being when I first went to college and was having a hard time being away from my family and friends and adjusting there. I was overwhelmed and he told me that everything was going to be okay. I was going through a similarly stressful couple of weeks at work and I think this was his way of telling me that everything is going to be okay again. Like I said, BEST.DREAM.EVER. It is times like this that I'm so glad I remember my dreams....

  1. That dream about your grandpa is really amazing! I'm sure he is your guardian angel and looking out for you and LO :)

Ok, I had the freakiest, most disturbing dream the other night. I dreamed that I was cutting off my left breast with a fork and knife, and eating it. Ugh! Still gives me shivers. Maybe I need to stay away from the breastfeeding boards.
