| Happy Easter From the Reulands! |
I know I keep saying this but I need to be a better blogger! I have just been so busy! Last weekend was Easter and we were able to spend it with Kurt's family in Wisconsin Dells. Kurt's parents got this wonderful 3 bedroom suite with a living room and kitchen! It was great because it was enough space for all of us so the 5 grandkids could run (or in our case, crawl) all over the place! Friday night was pretty easy going. We got into the Dells and went to dinner at a pizza buffet that didn't have pizza on the buffet, only their Friday night fish fry. When we got all checked in and the loads and loads of luggage (it's amazing the amount of stuff you end up packing when you have a child) up to the room, we pretty much had a relaxing evening. The big kids hit the water park and the little ones stayed in and went to bed.
Saturday was the big day....we were going to take Riglee to her first waterpark! Nana got her a beautiful swim suit for an Easter gift so we got her dressed in her new suit, got a bag packed (again, with too much stuff), and were ready to make the 20 minute trek to the water park. And then we realized Riglee pooped in her swim diaper! I don't know if you have ever put a swim diaper on a kid but it doesn't have velcro sides, you pull it up and down. Kurt and I struggled for 10 minutes trying to get this diaper down without getting poo all over Riglee or her suit or the bed! Finally we made it down to the water park and met up with everyone else. Riglee didn't really take to the water very well. I don't know if it was because it was loud and there were a lot of people or if she just didn't like being in the water. She was "ok" if Kurt or I held her but she was never able to really enjoy it. Hopefully she'll grow up and that will change.

While Riglee didn't overly love the waterpark, it was enough to completely tire her out. We were excited to put her to bed because the Easter bunny would be coming the next day! This year the Easter bunny hid eggs around the suite and layed all the Easter baskets out for the kids (what Kurt is used to, my Easter bunny always hid our baskets) but I have a feeling that next year he'll hide both the eggs and the basket! Riglee got some bath toys, a few of her favorite snacks, and tons of chocolate candy (which she was happy to give to her cousin Owen). It was a great weekend to spend with family at a fun resort. We are so blessed that Mary and Dan were able to get us all together to celebrate!!
