First Trimester:
- The Hulk. Yes, the Hulk made her appearance a few times during the first 12 weeks. I think my worst 1st tri symptom was my irritability. One wrong word and I'd turn into this green monster, breathing heavily with steam rising off my body and flames flying out of my eyes. Glad he is gone (for now-hehe).
- Extreme exhaustion. This hit me towards the end of 1st trimester but it was debilitating some days. I remember Kurt joking with me because I was ready to go to bed by 7:30pm. If only I would have given in to the sleep when I had the chance!
- One word: BLISS! I felt like my old self during most of 2nd tri, only with a little belly and a lot of hunger. I had energy to go out with friends, could stay up past 9:00pm, and was not riding the emotional rollercoaster.
- Cravings set in, big time! I started getting some random cravings towards the end of 1st trimester but they really kicked in 2nd trimester. I remember seeing blueberry pie on TV and just had to have it! Or I'd be grabbing dinner for myself and run to the grocery store to get crab rangoon and gaucamole with chips. I even fell for the pickles and ice cream craving once (don't worry, I didn't mix them together)!
- Finding out that we were having a baby girl. This was one of the most special days this pregnancy so far. The moment was just wonderful and somehow Kurt said that we were having a girl even before the ultrasound tech could get the words out. I remember walking out of the hospital, with our baby girl's picture, and just knowing, without discussion, that we'd name her Riglee Rose.
- Counting down the days until our estimated due date. It felt like hitting the home stretch and the count down really began in 3rd tri.
- The ever growing belly. It started growing in 2nd trimester but it really GREW in the 3rd. Like, I got huge, like a mack truck! Heck, I'm still getting bigger by the day!
- Extreme exhaustion. Oh yeah, my friend Mr. Super-Duper Tired came back and hit hard. Only this time I can't get comfy enough to really sleep, or I do get comfy but I have to go to the bathroom because my bladder is the size of a pea. Either way, I don't think he's going anywhere anytime soon.
